As a born and raised Iowa girl, I began directing my professional career upon graduation. Having always had a passion for helping people I wanted to find a way to utilize my organizational and financial skills to help others in my future career. These things, along with my interest doing a job where I knew I could make a difference in the world, led me to Advocacy Strategies.
After high school I moved to Texas to attend Dallas Baptist University (DBU) where received to my bachelor’s degree in Finance. During my time at DBU I volunteered with Youth World Dallas and several other local organizations. After graduation, I went to work for a nonprofit, domestic violence shelter in Greenville, Texas serving as their executive assistant. This experience provided me with the opportunity to see first-hand how to manage the day-to-day operations in a professional setting. I gained valuable experience working for a diverse nonprofit, learning exceptional client management skills and the trade of providing high level professional services. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Business Administration at DBU to further my education.
I reside in Altoona with my husband, Taylor, our daughter, Aubrey and our two dogs, Zuma and Bella. We enjoy many outdoor activities and adventures. We love to travel, thrift shop, be with friends, and spend quality time with our amazing family.
